At PS FamilyNYC, we firmly believe in fostering the growth of our community and staff by ensuring they are equipped with essential life-saving skills. As such, we are proud to offer free CPR training workshops to our staff and providers, enabling them to confidently and competently respond to emergency situations.
The training encompasses critical skills including adult, child, and infant CPR, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and the application of a bag-valve-mask.

CPR Certification Requirements
Understanding the specific requirements of Child Care and Daycares in New York, we ensure that our training meets the standards set for a Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
Additionally, based on employer requirements, we also facilitate First Aid courses to further augment our staff’s preparedness and effectiveness in critical scenarios.
Our commitment to safety extends beyond meeting regulatory mandates. PS FamilyNYC adheres to the rule that all child care programs must have at least one staff person certified in CPR and first aid on-site during operating hours. We take it a step further by ensuring our certifications are appropriate to the ages of children in our care and include a crucial in-person competency component.
