The Work Does Not End When the School Year Ends

June has arrived, and the school year is coming to an end. Many of our children have been with us for more than a year. We know their routines, their habits, and the way they eat and play. We know their families, and in many ways, we have become part of those families as well.

Some of them will continue in our programs, while others will take the next step and move on to school. However, our work does not end there.

Let us use this month as an opportunity to share with families activities, caregiving strategies, and play experiences that reflect best practices for early childhood development. This is a valuable time to pass along the care, lessons, and experiences we have provided to the children throughout the year.

Our work does not end here; it continues beyond the close of the school year. If we can extend good caregiving and educational practices into the home, the greatest beneficiaries will undoubtedly be our children.
