PS Family Grand Opening and Earth Day Celebration

PS Family Grand Opening & Earth Day Celebration

"I am happy to be part of Program Support and even happier to tell providers how important the work they do is. To the families who accompanied us, we will continue to work hard to always provide you with quality service. Thank you very much for your support."

This past Saturday we were joined by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Assemblymember Jo Ann Simon, Councilmember Lincoln Restler, King Henry and Sandy the Seagull from the Brooklyn Cyclones, PS Family network childcare providers and families, and our community to celebrate the grand opening of our new office in Downtown Brooklyn.

Ribbon Cutting

The day started with an official ribbon cutting hosted by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. PS Family Executive Director, Emilie Gay, and Assemblymember Jo Ann Simon did the honors and cut the ribbon, officially starting the celebration!

Guests enjoyed snacks and made toasts to the wonderful things PS Family has to offer.

Pistachio & the Worms

The big hit of the day was the interactive performance of Pistachio & the Worms, a play about recycling, written by PS Family Executive Director, Emilie Gay. The play is about Pistachio, a Brooklyn girl made of trash who embarks on a journey with the help of the audience to learn about how to properly recycle and compost.Workshops

Opening or Expanding a Childcare Business Workshop
PS Family Associate Director, Yanery Lopez, discussed the steps necessary to expand an existing childcare business and what is needed to open a new childcare program.

Immigration: Clarity & Options
Tina Genovese-Munoz, an attorney and owner of Transparent Justice Law Firm, P.C., answered questions about immigration and citizenship.

“I love Gabby and Pistachio so much. Those nasty rats could have destroyed our beautiful city!"
